Aangan is a mobile app for parents and caregivers, developed by Synoris Information System Pvt Ltd. Aangan suggests small, age-appropriate daily activities for children to build soft skills (empathy, communication, resilience, and more). The child never uses the app, never has an account, and never sees their own data. Only the caregiver interacts with Aangan.
Aangan collects the smallest amount of information needed to run the product:
| Who | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Caregiver | Phone number | Sign-in identity |
| Caregiver | Email address (optional) | Only to send you a password reset code, if you choose to give one |
| Caregiver | Preferred language | Shows content in your language |
| Caregiver | Age (18+) confirmation and consent timestamps | Required before any child data can be added |
| Child | First name only | Personalizing activity text (e.g. reminder messages) |
| Child | Birth month and year only | Choosing age-appropriate activities |
We never collect: a child's last name, gender, exact birth date, photo, school, or address; a caregiver's name, address, payment details, or government ID; precise location; contacts, photos, or media from your device; or any biometric data.
We do not sell your information or your child's information to anyone.
Aangan shows banner ads on its Today and Library screens through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure these ads, Google's advertising software in the app collects information from your device, such as its advertising identifier, IP address, and basic device and app usage data. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Only you can see your own child's name, activity history, and notes. Aangan's editorial team can see aggregate, anonymized usage statistics and, where a child must be referenced at all in an internal report, only the child's first initial is ever shown — never a full name.
Before any child information can be added, Aangan requires you to confirm you are 18 or older and to give explicit parental consent, explaining exactly what will be stored and why. You can still browse Aangan's activity library read-only without giving consent — no child record is created unless you've completed both steps.
Your account and child data is stored on servers we operate and is not shared with third parties except as strictly necessary to run the service (e.g. our SMS/phone-verification provider for sign-in). The device information described under Advertising above is collected by Google directly. We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information.
Aangan is designed to be used by adult caregivers on behalf of a child. A child never creates their own account, never provides their own information directly to us, and never accesses the app themselves. The limited child information described above (first name, birth month/year) is provided by the caregiver, with the caregiver's own consent, solely to personalize content.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where required, ask for renewed consent within the app.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@synoris.co.in.
